The veneers procedure takes two visits to our office. During your first appointment, we remove a thin layer of enamel from the fronts of your teeth. Next, we’ll take dental impressions to send to the lab. While you wait for the lab to make the customized veneers for your teeth, we’ll place temporary covers over your teeth. When you return for your second appointment, your porcelain veneers will be ready.
First, our cosmetic dentists will make sure that your veneers are the right size, shape, and color. They’ll then remove your temporary veneers and place the permanent ones on your teeth. Don’t worry if our dentists need to make slight adjustments to the fit of your veneers. It’s not uncommon for them to trim a little excess material so the porcelain veneers look and feel natural.
Once our dentists are happy with the way your veneers fit, they’ll bond them to your teeth. They’ll then check your bite to make sure you’ll be able to chew without discomfort.
When it comes to porcelain veneers, we don’t follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we offer customized veneers according to the needs and budget of our patients. The cost of porcelain veneers in Michigan varies from patient to patient and is generally calculated per veneer.
Aftercare Instructions
Take care of your veneers as you do for the rest of your smile. It’s important that you brush your teeth twice a day and floss once daily. Porcelain veneers can discolor over time if you neglect oral hygiene.
You’ll also need to continue seeing our dentists every 6 months for preventive care. That way, we’ll be able to check the condition of your porcelain veneers. Veneers can last several years with proper care. Don’t hesitate to contact our office in Michigan if you have any questions about our dental porcelain veneers including the cost, precautions, cleaning routine, etc.
